This is an inaugural release of the American Homefront Series in the
America's Honor Collection . This series features box cars displaying the art of
a nation at war. Recruiting and travel restrictions, rationing, and war bonds
were the subject of countless posters, bills, and murals on the Homefront while
our boys fought overseas. Uncle Sam was already a well known American icon when
this rendition was introduced for recruiting purposes during World War I. It
proved so popular that it was brought out of retirement for World War II. The
Apex roofwalk, stirrups, and Ajax brakewheel are all etched metal.
